We will be based for the whole tour at the 17th century Chateau Forge du Roy in the heart of the Dordogne.
As usual, the trip will be a mixture of workshops, knit activities, sightseeing, eating, drinking, music, and lots of fun!
Chateau Forge du Roy is ideally located for the historic market towns of the Perigord like Sarlat and Perigueux, the prehistoric caves, stunning landscapes of the Dordogne and Vézère rivers, and the numerous beautiful castles and gardens of the region.
For the non-knitters there is within easy distance canoeing, cycling, hiking, golf and riding, plus all the medieval architecture and unique culture of the region. The chateau has a sauna and swimming pool and is set in a magnificent estate of 184 acres of woodland, meadows and lakes.
