MARTIN STOREY
After graduating from Middlesex University with a degree in Fashion & Textiles, Martin produced innovative and exciting designs for the prestigious design house Artwork for 15 years. Subsequently he became chief designer for Jaeger, and now works for Rowan, for whom he has created numerous collections of handknits for women, men, children and homewares. With his signature cables and textures, Martin’s beautiful designs are found in Classic Knits for Real Women, Classic Knits for Men, Knitting goes Large and Rowan Magazine.

Big and Beautiful Cables |
Join my 'Big and Beautiful Cables' class and create a wonderful, three dimensional 'Martin Storey' signature cable in a chunky weight yarn for bold, fashion statement scarf wraps or accessories.
The three cable areas we will be concentrating on are:
Wrapped and knotted cables
Three strand cables
A ‘unique’ cabled motif.
Patterns and graph paper will be provided and some chunky weight yarns will also be provided, but any chunky yarns you wish to bring from your stash will be welcome.
Please bring along a range of needles UK sizes 7mm (US 10 1/2) through to 10mm(US 15), large cable needles and stitch holders. Rowan will provide the necessary yarns. |
